THROTTLE TWISTERS MOTORCYCLE CLUB
EST 1975 and to be continued
The club was first named wheelers mc. But after a while was the club informed that there already was another club in Eskilstuna (Sweden) who had that named. When that info reached the club was the name changed to Throttle Twisters MC. From -75 to -85 was the clubhouse situated north of Uppsala in a place called Storvreta. The club growe fast during the first two years. It was open to anyone on two wheels and with an intrest to have a good time in the spirit of good friendship. It was mostly japanese bikes but also english, american and czech bikes. As long as it had two wheels and an engine over 125 cc it was ok.
Lots of tales can be told from old members about those first years. When the club held a party there was always going to be a good one.
The club moved from the old clubhouse 1985. The landlord had put up lots of ridiculuos rules like you where not allowed to drive motorcycle after 22.00 pm. After some struggel did the club realised that it was a dead end. The only solution was to move.Searching for a new clubhouse was not a easy task but finaly a new one was found. Now in the south parts of Uppsala, at a place called Bergsbrunna. The first years in Bergsbrunna was only work. The new place was an old factory where they used to make bricks. It took a whole lot of work and money to get the place decent.After 7 years in Bergsbrunna was it time to move again. Not because of a stupid landlord. A very good place was found closer to Uppsala, just 10 minutes walkingtime to the heart of Uppsala on a street called Klockargatan.
After ten years at that place was the club forced to move again. The community where going to build houses there
The club have now a place outside Uppsala at an old furniturefactory. The main purpose for that house was just storage but itīs now a clubhouse.
We will sone move again.

in december 2006 we took our inventory and bikes and moved back to Uppsala, This time we moved in to a little bit smaller house but much moore suiteible for our purpose and needs.

A new era is born, We are currently building
a new club house in the near neibourhood, the house is nearly finish and more info will come..
